All of these flowers are very pretty, but the rich Calla Lilies and bright Dahlias definitely steal the show. The result are arrangements that have wonderful focal points and still remain balanced.
The fun is in the details! Hand-lettered chalkboard signs, scrabble-themed vases, and sheet music table runners are just a few of the details we included to make this wedding stand out.
Here is proof that a beautiful bouquet doesn’t have to break the bank. Dusty Miller, Alstromeria, and white roses make an intricately beautiful arrangement of color and texture.
Elizabeth is one of the nicest people in the world! It was an honor to do her wedding flowers. She pretty much gave me free reign on the design so I gathered up a few of my recent favorite flowers; dahlias, dusty miller, astilbe, amaranthus, etc. We also incorporated two items that belonged to her [...]
The bride wanted something classy and elegant… without being too old-fashioned. That’s the real trick isn’t it? We addressed the challenge by mixing some contemporary elements like billy balls and dusty miller into tried and true arrangements. The individual centerpieces are very simple but the massing of color is very showy. It’s a great way [...]
This wedding succeeded in striking a difficult balance; maintaining elegance while incorporating earthy ingredients. The floral combinations feel natural and real but never loose the classy look that sets weddings apart from other events.
One Charming Party asked me to be a guest on her new show. We made kissing balls (a.k.a pomanders, flower balls, darling). Such a fun time!
Who could say no to hydrangea? These pink roses, freesia, and hydrangeas came in so pretty! Fun details like colored floral pins and fern curls finish it all off.
Rich beauty can be discovered and revealed through even the simplest color palettes. In this wedding, I love how varied hues of simple greens and whites mix with textures to create great contrast and understated beauty.
Classic colors in elegant flowers. Orchids, calla lilies, stephanotis and beautiful greens offset the traditional and intense red roses. And cascading bouquets always add a bit of extra fanciness.
One of my most favorite weddings! I had so much fun with Jenaya and her family. The flowers blended so well with her style and really took the whole event to the next level. Most of these great photographs were taken by the talented Lindsey Shaun.
Bright and fun are the words that come to mind when describing this wedding. Strong summer colors arranged with a touch of whimsey add a lot to an outdoor party.
Both Brandon and Leslie are accomplished artists. The affair called for unique design and rich detail. Many of the arrangements sport curious elements like vintage jewelry, dried mushrooms, feathers, and of course, real persimmons.
One Charming Party strikes again with this darling party for summer! Wouldn’t this be a cute family reunion? I think it would translate well to a wedding too, just sayin’. I used broccoli, radishes, wheat, cornflower, billy balls, poms, scented geranium, dusty miller to make these darling arrangements. I also grew wheat grass in those [...]
This art party thrown by One Charming Party was about the cutest thing on the planet! The girls at OCP asked me to arrange a color wheel arrangement that the kids at the party could paint. I love the vibrant colors and all the fun textures! Photos by the talented Nicole Hill Gerulat
One of my most favorite weddings (well, just the groomals so far) was just featured on the Utah Bride Blog. Click here to check it out! And doesn’t Lindsey do amazing work? I vote yes.
Rosehips, pine boughs, yarrow, birch, aspen, willow, millet, and euyonomus made this wedding feel like a walk through the woods. Congratulations Henry & Claire!
John and Bethany were so wonderful to work with. Their colors were yellow and green with accents of burgundy and orange. It was the perfect color combination for a late summer wedding. We incorporated the lemons, limes, and oranges for an inexpensive pop of color. I am in love with the aisle decorations too! I [...]
I’m currently in the process of switching over my blog to this new site. In the meantime – you can read my old one here.
The Utah Bride Blog featured one of my weddings today! I’m pretty excited about it. See the full post here.
The flowers have hit it big and made their first television appearance. In front of a live audience no less. Britney Egbert of One Charming Party was a guest on Studio 5 and spoke about throwing the perfect baby shower. She asked me to arrange one large arrangement (to use for a centerpiece at the [...]
Scott and Lexy are too cute. For their big day, they requested bright, cheerful, fun, flowers with a touch of whimsy. Some of the beautiful details included the streaming ribbons, teal bouillon wire, and the incorporation of Lexy’s grandmother’s brooch into her bouquet. The freesia, dahlias, snapdragons, billy buttons, chinese lanterns, coxcomb, zinnias, and roses [...]
This wedding was gorgeous. Candice chose hot pink and orange with lime green accents for her colors and it was so much fun to create. A bountiful mix of peonies, coxcomb, fern curls, anemones, gladiolus blooms, ti leaves, bear grass, and equisteum created a monochromatic bouquet full of texture, just like Candice requested. The peonies [...]
The darling and fabulous Britney of One Charming Party asked me to arrange two pieces for the Raggedy Ann party she created. It was so much fun! She gave me a color scheme and a few ideas and let me go from there. I made the paper flowers to tie in the Raggedy Ann theme. [...]
